Simone takes a holistic approach to healing and psychotherapy. Clients engage in collaborative goal setting and treatment planning to accommodate clients' unique circumstances, preferences and needs. Treatment can focus on lifestyle goals, such as navigating life-transitions, stressors, and increasing healthy lifestyle behaviours, or focus on treating psychological conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder, complex post-traumatic stress, mood and anxiety disorders. Therapy is conducted through a person-centred framework that incorporates evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment models like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), nervous system work (including Polyvagal Therapy), parts work (Internal Family Systems and Structural Dissociation Theories), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), schema therapy, positive psychology and more.
